Walking in Nazareth

This video really shows how a guide dog helps a person walk past the obstacles of daily life and enjoys a newfound sense of freedom and independence.

The team had just graduated the week before, and they are walking through the ancient city of Nazareth. As they are walking – imagine trying to navigate the same route using a white cane! The video is a little shaky to start, our trainer is following the team and filming using her cell phone. The dog will stop at any change of elevation or if there is an obstacle. The Partner will occasionally give the dog a treat to reinforce positive behavior. The dog is even trained to signal when they are walking in tight spots, so its partner will walk a little behind.
