What:

Choosing to do a Mitzvah project with the Israel Guide Dog Center is a unique way to highlight a cause that is important to you within your community. We want you to feel connected to our amazing work in Israel. After choosing the Center, you will have an opportunity to learn about our clients, our dogs, and how your efforts are having an impact.

Setting a goal is a great place to being. Many projects aim to raise:

  • $1,000– to sponsor a puppy’s first year of food and medical care

  • $5,000– to name a puppy at our Center and follow its progress with periodic email pup-dates and a dedicated website

  • As much as you can! All donations are greatly appreciated.

When:

We help hundreds of people each year create meaningful projects. These projects can occur at any time during the year, can be large or small, be done by yourself or with a group. We find that the most effective projects need 4-6 months to be successful (although it can be done with less time).

Where:

Projects can be done anywhere in your community—including in person events and online fundraising is done online.

Why:

The Israel Guide Dog Center makes an extraordinary difference in the lives of Israelis in need.

  • For those with visual impairment, our dogs help them live fully independent lives with the help of our specially trained Guide Dogs.

  • Israeli military veterans are relieved from the crippling effects of PTSD through the support of our PTSD Service Dogs.

  • And children with special needs as well as people of all ages who have suffered the trauma of conflict find comfort from our Emotional Support Dogs.

And because of friends like you, we can do this at no cost to our clients!
